Hey Reader,

Not every product on the shelf belongs in your stash. And more products is rarely the answer to struggling hair. Knowing what your fine natural hair genuinely needs? That is the answer.

This week is all about products worth having and the mindset shift that helps you stop buying what sounds good and start choosing what works.

In This Issue:

→ The products that have earned a permanent spot in my routine

→ Why fine hair gets overwhelmed so easily and what to do instead

→ A video worth watching before your next purchase

→ A few things I have been genuinely loving lately

This week's focus

What your hair needs vs. what product ads are selling you

Here is something worth understanding about how the beauty industry works. The businesses aren't looking to solve your hair problems once. They are designed to keep you in a cycle of buying, trying, and buying again. The more confused you are about what your hair needs, the more products you will purchase looking for the answer. Of course, products run out and you have to rebuy them but do you need to rebuy ALL of them across different brands? Absolutely not. There's something to be said about finding your staple hair products

Fine natural hair can be especially vulnerable to the cycle of buying and trying new products consistently. Our individual strands are thin which means they reach their saturation point fast. When you layer too many products, or use formulas designed for thicker, coarser hair, the result isn't increased moisture. It's buildup, limpness, and ultimately breakage. Then, we may think the product didn't work, so we buy another.

The point I want to drive home is that when you really start understanding what your hair needs, you'll be much less inclined to try every new trending product. Hence, the reason I never bothered with the new celebrity brands. Fine strands need lightweight moisture, minimal layering, and formulas that do not compete with each other. This is the strategy I used for my own fine natural hair and it's the reason my intentional hair care routines will always outperform a shelf full of products.

"Fine strands need lightweight moisture, minimal layering, and formulas that don't compete with each other"

Ominira Naturals is the product line that I reach for again and again for this purpose. It's formulated with clean ingredients that are intentionally designed to work without overloading fine strands. To give them a shot, you can use code MICHELLE15 to save 15% off your order. You will especially love The Tangle Slayer.
