HI Reader,
All month long, weβve looked at the subject of resilience and how it shows up in your hair care and your walk with God. β As we wrap up this topic, I want to close by bringing you into something I've been building behind the scenes for many months:
The Faith Based Natural Hair Framework.
Today's issue starts with a practical article on consistency, but as you keep reading, you'll also see how that idea connects to the bigger picture of caring for your hair in a way that is both intentional and God honoring.
πFOR YOUR FEEDβ βHow to Stay Consistent With Your Natural Hair Routine
β
Finding an easy hair care routine that actually sticks can feel impossible when your schedule is packed. Youβve got responsibilities pulling at you from every which way, and wash day is easily pushed to the bottom of the priority list.... Read more.
π¬ PAUSE & PONDER
The journey toward Consistency never ends. As long as we live, we have to take intentional steps toward remaining consistent with our hair care and our walk with the Lord. It's in that consistency that we grow more resilient against challenges.
What's the first step you can take toward being more consistent with how you care for the hair God has given you?
And beyond that, what does consistency actually require in order to last?
ππΌ TREASURE THIS
The 4th Stage of the Framework: Consistency
Sometimes, to see the end from the beginning, you have to start at the end and then work your way back to the beginning.
Consistency is the 4th stage of the Faith Based Natural Hair Framework. It's the destination that you arrive at but never really arrive at.
It's where many women want to be in their hair care, but consistency is not something you reach once and then never have to think about again.
Liken it to cleaning your house. You can spend a few hours, a day, or even a week cleaning your house. You arrive at the destination, a clean house, but that destination has to be arrived at again and again; meaning you have to consistently clean your house in order to keep it that way.
It's the same with your hair care. You don't have one productive wash day and maintain healthy hair. You can arrive at the destination of having healthy, gorgeous, and resilient hair, but more importantly, to stay there, you have to take the necessary steps to maintain that hair again and again.
And that takes building your consistency muscle.
Inside the Faithful Strand Academy, I help women care for their natural hair with greater intention, understanding, and consistency. The Academy is centered on hair care, but itβs shaped by a God honoring approach that helps you care for your hair differently.
I walk you through all the stages of The Faith Based Natural Hair Framework because each one supports the next. Each stage has many layers, but they all connect.
βLearn more here. It's currently 9 dollars a month, but once I add the coaching layer, that price will go up. So, if this sounds like the kind of support you need, this is a good time to join at the founder's price.
π‘FAITHFUL STRAND TIP
"One way I've found to be more consistent with my wash days is to combine it with my sabbath practice. I'm not doing more. I'm intentionally honoring part of the body God gave me." ~ Evangelist Michelle
