We're heading into the last quarter of the year. Before focusing on what you've yet to achieve, I want you to focus on how far you've already come.

Happy Sunday, friend.

In a few days we'll turn the page to October, and the final quarter of the year begins. For a lot of us, that's when the pressure shows up. The "What have I even accomplished?" questions. The urge to cram a whole year's worth of goals into three months.

This week I want to invite you to do something different. Instead of focusing on past failures or what appears to be a lack of progress, how about you look back at everything you've already accomplished. Not just the big things. Small ones too. It all counts.

In Today's Issue:

→ What three quarters of hair care can teach you about your faith

→ One thing you don't have to earn before the new quarter begins

→ The hair and faith goals worth revisiting before the year ends

→ A scripture for finishing the year without giving up

Stage: IDENTITY

This week's focus

Give Yourself Credit for Progress

Three quarters of the year are behind us. What do you know now that you didn't know in January?

Maybe you've learned to be gentler when detangling, found a routine you can keep up with, or finally let go of a style that was costing you your edges. That's worth celebrating, even if you haven't reached your length goal.

And in your walk with the Lord, maybe you're praying about things you used to just worry about. Maybe you're opening your Bible more often or learning to pause before you respond. You may still have work to do in those areas, but take a moment to recognize where God has helped you grow.

You can be thankful for how far you've come while you're still working toward where you want to be.

Give yourself permission to celebrate that progress. You don't have to wait until December or until every goal is checked off.

SACRED SELF CARE

Put Your Feet Up. For real. For real.

This week, set aside 15 minutes to get comfortable and put your feet up. Make a cup of your favorite tea, silence your notifications, and play a worship song you love. Let the laundry wait. Close the extra tabs. For these few minutes, you have somewhere to be: right there, resting.

As you appreciate how far you've come this year, make room to care for yourself, too. You don't have to finish everything on your list before you take a moment to yourself.

SACRED REFLECTIONS

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Galatians 6:9

There's a reason this is a great verse to meditate on during the fall season. We're in the season of harvest. But the harvest only comes to the ones who didn't give up in the months when nothing seemed to be happening.

Don't grow weary now. The final quarter isn't the time to quit. It's the time to keep pressing toward your goals and then trusting God with the harvest.

Many Blessings,

Michelle
