Hi Reader,

Happy Resurrection Sunday. I hope you’re able to take time today to truly reflect on the gift we’ve been given through Christ.

We just entered a new season and this week, I'm shining a light on why so many naturals scrap and reset their hair routines every 3 months and the one thing it reveals about their approach.

To be fair, some seasonal adjustments are necessary. Your hair does need a little more love in the winter, and a lighter touch in the spring and summer months. But there is a big difference between a small intentional tweak and a full blown overhaul.

FAITHFUL STRAND TIP

Give new products time before judging them.

Unless you have a negative reaction, don’t rush to decide a product isn’t working. Most people switch too quickly to see real results. Give it at least 3 to 5 uses so you can observe how your hair is responding.

This week's focus

Why Many Naturals Reset Their Hair Routines Every Season and What It Reveals

Seasonal resets feel productive.

They give the impression that doing something new to your hair will finally produce different results.

But what this approach often reveals is not a product issue.
It reveals a lack of clarity.

When you don’t have a clear view of what your routines are producing, every change in your hair can feel like something is just not giving.

So the response is to switch something, adjust something else, or completely start over.

But when everything keeps changing, there’s nothing to measure.
And without that, every decision is based on a single moment instead of what’s happening with your hair over time.

That’s what keeps the broken cycle going.

When you can see how your hair responds across multiple wash days, your decisions change.

You stop guessing.
You stop reacting and replacing things so quickly.
You start making adjustments to your routines with direction.

The Natural Hair Care Dashboard was created for this.

It gives you a structured way to track your routines, your products, and your progress so your decisions are based on patterns, not assumptions.

PAUSE & PONDER

Think about your current hair routines.

"What specific results have you experienced the last few weeks? What did you change during that time that may be preventing you from clearly understanding how your hair is responding?”

Be honest but through a lense of discovery and not judgment. Write out your responsese in your journal.
If you want to share, hit reply and tell me what came up. I read every single response.

Many blessings to you,

Michelle
